Abstract
Information Overload is the condition wich too much amount of information receivedby humans, causing dif iculties in receiving and processing information. This phenomenonalso occurs, one of the example is on online store sites. The large number of products is
accompanied by a large number of online stores that are of ers a wide variety of products inlarge quantities so that cause confusion and doubt in doing shopping activities on line. Things
that are usually done by users or consumers in doing shopping activities sometimes tendtoopen several shopping sites simultaneously together to search for the same product, whilemany sites shopping that is available out there so that there are doubts in choosing theproduct so time tends to be spent just doing searches and sometimes can't find the right
product. To overcome this then a Product Search System was built by implementingWebscraping using the XPath method for extraction data. We can reconstruct data fromvarious shopping sites into our system as well as from the test results that by utilizingWebscraping the retrieved data will be faster and the search process will be more ef icient.
