Carrier aggregation (CA) is one the of main features in long Term Evolution- Advanced (LTE-A). CA will allow the target peak data retes in axcess of 1 Gbps in the downlink and 500 Mbps in the uUplik to be achieved and the users can have acces to the total bandwith of up to 100 MHz. The system bandwith may be continous or system consisting of several parts of non-continous anggregated bandwith. This paper provides a sumary of the supported CA scenarios as well as an overview of the advanced funtional of CA-LTE with particular emphais on the basic concept, control mechanisms, and the [erformance aspest of (CA). This paper also demonstrates how CA can be used as an enabler for simple yet effective frequency domain inerference management schemes. In particular, the interference management is to provide the intervertion made significan gains in heterogeneous networks, envisioning intrinsically uncordinated deployments from the home base stations. Then, we compared the quality of service (QoS) performancet of two different multi-user scheduling schemes is CA based LTE-A systems, efficient, whereas the latter is optimal but with higher overheadsignaling. Moreover, only one single component carriec (CC) is required to acces for user equipment (UE) in the case of SRUS, while all the CCs must be conneted in case of JUS . Some technicial challengs for implementing carrier schelling schemes technique in LTE-A systems, are discussed and highlighted.
